Instructions for Authors

The conference official language is English, All papers and abstracts must be written in English.

The paper you submitted has not previously been published elsewhere or currently under consideration by another scientific conference

(1) Guide for Abstract Submission (Abstract Only)
Those who are only interested in attending the conference for presentation (NOT FOR PUBLICATION), please submit your abstract(s) following the guidelines as below:
• Abstract should be strictly within one A4 page in length apart from the cover letter page and containing at least 200 words;
• Abstract should be submitted in doc. format according to the Abstract Template;
• Submission way: Kindly mark "For Oral/Poster Presentation" when submitting the abstract to  conf@heet-18.org;
• Accepted abstract will be included in abstract proceedings which are just for communication purpose only, and will not get published openly. Full and improved paper based on the abstract could be submitted elsewhere for further publication.

(2) Guide for Full Paper Submission (Full Length Papers Only)
• Please ensure that the paper you submitted has not previously been published elsewhere or currently under consideration by another scientific conference;
• Please follow these essential guidelines when preparing your paper;
• Full paper should be submitted in .doc format according to the Full Paper Templates ( Microsoft Word Templates or LaTeX2e class file);
•Authors can submit their full paper through electronic submission system
• Papers that go through Pre-reviewing will be assigned to related at least 2 reviewers in the same field. And Organizing Committee will base on the Review comments to make the final decision.

Author Guidelines & Ethics Reminder：

Authors are required to comply with international publication ethics and IOP Publishing guidelines regarding authorship, similarity checks, and the use of generative AI tools.

1. IOPP’s recommendations:
such as multiple authorship. As a general rule we would advise that an author does not submit more than two articles to a conference. This includes papers that they have co-authored.

2. Similarity:
We recommend a maximum similarity of 30% and would encourage authors to include their references when checking the similarity score. The Proceedings Editors will be able to check the score and type of reuse in more detail during the assessment stage including the references and bibliography. We understand that there are valid reasons for higher similarity, for example, for literature reviews.

3.Generative AI Tools:
There are many responsible and appropriate uses for generative AI within scholarly research and we support authors using it in this manner. When doing so, authors are encouraged to be transparent about their use of any generative AI tools in either the research or the drafting of the manuscript. Authors are also encouraged to maintain records of previous drafts, as well as any prompts used in the editing or generation of material within their manuscript. Please state this in the Acknowledgements of the paper.
